Step by step
- Get the clip into Photos. Any short video works: something you filmed, a clip a friend sent, a saved trend. Use clips you are allowed to use.
- Pick it in the app. BeMainStar opens your Photos. Choose the video.
- Trim it. Keep 5 to 30 seconds. The screen shows the length and the Star cost as you drag.
- Take one selfie. A live selfie, face to the light. That is your cast photo for every video after this one too.
- Start it. The cost sheet shows the exact Stars before you tap. About 2 minutes later the video is ready to save or share.
What makes a clip work well
- One clear person you want to replace, visible for most of the clip.
- Good light on their face. Dark club footage gives the AI less to work with.
- The part you actually want. Trimming to the best 8 seconds costs less than 30 and usually looks better.
Other ways to do it
If you would rather film yourself doing the moves, a video editor with a green screen tool works too. CapCut, for example, lists chroma key and background removal in its App Store description as of October 2026. You film yourself in front of a plain wall, cut yourself out and lay that over the clip. It costs more of your time and you have to learn the moves, but you are in control of every frame.

If the video is saved in your Photos you can pick it. Only use clips you are allowed to use, and tell people the result is AI-generated when you share it.
